Nestled in lush tropical foliage, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens boasts over 400 animals, 23 acres of botanical gardens, an Insect Zoo and one of the best Reptile Houses in the southeast United States. You’ll journey through Florida’s tropical gardens as you look for American bald eagles, alligators, cougars, cheetahs, rhinoceros and giraffes! Enjoy colorful macaws, fearsome crocodiles, prickly porcupines, creepy crawly bugs and much, much more. Enjoy live animal encounters and shows or take part in a behind-the-scenes encounter . . . there’s always more to ZOO! • The Central Florida Zoo is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
