Welcome to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, one of the world’s preeminent botanic gardens. Established in 1938, the 83-acre garden is among the region’s most popular visitor attractions. Please allow at least 3 hours to enjoy all features of the garden. Enjoy a free 40 minute narrated tram tour from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on the hour or stroll at your leisure exploring 83 acres of lush tropical plants, bamboo collection, arid garden, palms, and flowering trees on just 2.1 miles of paved areas.

Enjoy the serenity of our lakes and vistas and a variety of bird sighting. Make sure visit the Wings of the Tropics Butterfly Conservatory where you will see some of the worlds’ most beautiful butterflies amidst an array of orchids. The Glasshouse Café is open every day from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm featuring a beautiful Chihuly glass chandelier. Fairchild’s mission is to save tropical plant diversity by exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants. Fundamental to this task is inspiring a greater knowledge and love for plants and gardening so that all can enjoy the beauty and bounty of the tropical world.
